Tellenes

Rogaland
Sokndal and Lund municipals

June 29th 2016 Zephyr closed the investment deal for Tellenes windfarm in Rogaland, the biggest windfarm in Norway to this date.

The windfarm will include 50 Siemenes wind turbines, each with 3,2 MW installed effect. This will give the farm an aggregated installed effect of 160 MW. The windfarm will open in autumn of 2017.

The area surrounds the minefield of Titiania, and as such is already industrialized. The area is fully included in an area that is classified by the county government as a go-area for windpower development.

The plan area is divided in three areas, Tellens I, II and V. Togethert these three span an area that is approx. 15 km2. The highest place is situated in the Tellenes II-area and is approx. 500 metres above sea level.

The project will be connected to the grid and the transformatorstation will be in Åna-Sira.

The project was first reported to NVE in april of 2005. In the spring of 2006 it was applied for a conssesion. Zephyr bought the project from Statoil in august 2010. A final conssesion was granted by the Norwegian Department of Oil and Energy on March 27th of 2014.

Read the consession application and various reports on NVEs webpages (Norwegian only).
